Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Additional Director General (ADG) (Urban Planning) Rana Tikka Khan has instructed LDA City development partners to speed up the land acquisition process for the project, reported a news source. He issued these directives while chairing a meeting held with LDA City developers to discuss the project’s current development status.

The development partners who attended the meeting represented Maymar Housing Services, Pak Estate, Urban Developers, and Alpha Estate.
Khan asked the development partners to meet the monthly land acquisition target previously set for LDA City Phase I. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court of Pakistan issued orders to offer plot possessions to 9,000 property file owners within eight months. For this purpose, the development authority has decided to pace up the land acquisition process in the local mouzas identified for the project.

The meeting members were briefed regarding the 650 kanals of land that had been acquired in the last two months. Furthermore, they were informed about the preparations being made to start development work on the 13,780 kanals of LDA City Phase I – currently in their final stage.

The ADG instructed the development partners to acquire as much land as possible under the eight months’ time limit stipulated by the apex court. He also briefed the development partners regarding the establishment of an LDA City site office in Mouza Kahna.
