Karachi: The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) will develop Special Technology Zones (STZs) in Sindh to create plenty of new opportunities for technological firms, according to news published on June 22.

A meeting was held with the high-level delegation led by STZA Chairman Amer Hashmi at the Sindh Secretariat in Karachi. During the meeting, the chairman briefed the attendees about its plan to establish STZs across the country. He went on to say that the authority is making all efforts to support the technology industry at the grassroots level through the provision of globally competitive incentives for all sizes of technological organisations. Through such incentives, the authority plans to facilitate the growing freelancers’ market as well.

Moreover, STZA Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Javaid Iqbal presented the Innovation Clusters Strategy. Under this initiative, high-potential technology clusters will offer regulatory support and incentives. The Sindh Secretariat commended the initiatives taken by the STZA and offered full support for the growth of the technology sector in the province.
