Gujranwala: A special squad has been formed to curb construction on and possession of public land, a news source reported. The action is particularly directed towards those private housing scheme that make public land a part of their projects and cases will be filed against such schemes.
Action is being taken after media reports that land earmarked for graveyard, parks, maternity homes, funeral prayer areas, and green belts have been included in illegal private housing schemes. The special squad is headed by Director Town Planning.
The squad will take account on and demolish illegal buildings on these public lands and file cases against the private housing schemes.
