Quetta: A special industrial zone in the Hub area of Lasbela will boost employment, a news source quoted Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan as saying. The federal government will establish this industrial zone, which will have a capacity for 100 new industrial units. CM Kamal stated that it will create a significant amount of job opportunities for the masses.

While talking to the media after laying the foundation stone for a double-carriage track in Hub, the CM stated that the government was taking multiple measures for improving the condition of the Hub industrial estate. He added that provincial government plans to establish special economic zones in different areas of the province. He said that they will encourage the private sector for this purpose.
CM Kamal also revealed that the provincial government is trying to increase its revenue in order to invest in more development work in Balochistan. He added that they are focusing on completing the projects currently under construction. Around 400 such schemes will be completed during the current fiscal year. He also stated that the new Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) will only include projects that can be completed in three years and not more.

Pertaining to employment in the province, CM Kamal said that the government has recruited about 20,000 people to vacant posts of different government departments.
