Muzaffargarh: The Punjab government has allotted 400 acres of land in a bid to establish an IT Park in Muzaffargarh, according to Planning and Development (P&D) Committee Chairman Habir-ur-Rehman Gillani.
He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to the city; where he reviewed progress on various development schemes. Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Tahir Khursheed was also present at the occasion.

The P&D chairman said that the proposed IT Park will be the largest of its kind in Pakistan. At least six districts of South Punjab, as well as parts of Sindh and Balochistan, will benefit from this initiative.
Gillani said that he would present his recommendations to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for initiating more development projects for South Punjab in the future.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Ihtesham Anwar said that the government has allotted 400 acres of land for the IT Park in the first phase. He added that the residents of Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Multan, and Bahawalpur will benefit from this facility.
The service facilities planned for the IT Park include two vocational centres, an engineering university, an exhibition centre, and an IT tower; among others.
