Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Tuesday signed an agreement with the South Punjab Secretariat to introduce both the e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) and the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) at the said administrative unit, a news source reported.

South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of their organisations. The signing ceremony took place at the Arfa Software Technology Park in Lahore. PITB DG IT-Operation Faisal Yousaf, DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, and other officials concerned were all present on the occasion.
According to the details revealed, the executive aims to improve the workflow as well as ensure transparency in all government departments by implementing the e-FOAS service; in addition to digitizing human resource operations through the HRMIS utility.

Commenting on the initiative, South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman said that the introduction of these tech-based tools would ensure transparency while reducing additional expenditures.
