Lahore: The Punjab government has allocated 35% of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) funds for South Punjab under the provincial budget announced for the (fiscal Year) FY2019-20, a news source reported.

The incumbent government has aimed for regional equalisation and sustainability in its budget announcement.
As per reports, budget 2019-20 is the result of intensive coordination among the different departmnets. They stated that the budget highlights the government’s systematic strategy for growth in order to meet longstanding goals. They added that the government strives to fulfil the promise of ensuring an inclusive growth for all.
The provincial government’s budget highlights new priorities for Punjab – the executive is aiming for an economically stable province to support prosperity of Pakistan. The new policies indicate that government wants to cut regional disparities, and invest in human development and social sectors.

The budget documents further reveal various development projects for South Punjab. These include projects for health, education, power supply, and veterinary services.
