Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has resumed partial head office operations following three days of complete closure, a news source reported. The civic agency has also started finalising the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for restarting its one-window cell facility.

The LDA director general recently presided over a meeting to review pace of development work in the LDA City and other development projects. At another session, the LDA official announced the civic agency’s decision to reopen the one-window cell following a relaxation in the going lockdown.
For this purpose, the LDA is drafting the SOPs to resume the cell’s operations.

Meanwhile, rehabilitation and carpeting of Canal Road connecting Harbanspura and Jallo has resumed. The 9.4-kilometre-long road patch will be rehabilitated at a cost of PKR 80.4 million. According to LDA Site Engineer Ashar Waqar, road carpeting work will be completed in two months.
At the same time, the LDA is following all the communicated SOPs at the project site to ensure the safety of its workers.
