Karachi: The Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Shallwani issued the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shopping malls in the city to curb the spread of the coronavirus through a notification on Tuesday – a news source reported.

According to details, face masks will be mandatory for customers entering shopping malls and it is mandatory to provide hand sanitizers on all entrances to the malls. Additionally, all the customers will have to be scanned to check for fever.
The notification also bars people below the age of 12 and above the age of 55 from entering shopping malls, along with people exhibiting flu-like symptoms, including cough and fever.

According to SOPs, the management of shopping malls have been directed to clean the premises with disinfectants on a regular basis.
In a related development, Sindh government has eased the ban on pillion riding for family members residing in the same home. There is, however, no exception for law enforcement agencies, journalists, co-workers and office staff.
