Islamabad: A German development bank and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) have set up modern solar-powered mini power grids in the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stated a news source. These grids will be installed in Swabi and Karak and produce about 196 kilowatts and 185 kilowatts, respectively. These can provide clean electricity to about 434 households.
The Frankfurt Peace and Governance Programmer Division Head Michael Gruber appreciated the efforts of PPAF in setting up power grids in such inaccessible terrains and added that these will increase the household income and transform the lives of marginalised communities.
