Murree: Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas disclosed that, in anticipation of forthcoming snowfall, the Punjab government, in collaboration with the Pakistan Meteorological Department, has released a comprehensive travel advisory for tourists, as per the news source on January 3.

The news source mentioned that the deputy commissioner outlined a robust strategy to manage the expected surge in tourists. He informed that the entry of vehicles into the city is being monitored through digital counting systems, aiming to control the influx of vehicles heading towards the express highway to Murree.
Under this plan, 13 facilitation centers will be established, ensuring thorough preparations, including provisions of petrol and meals, to cater to the needs of visitors. He affirmed his commitment to prioritize the well-being of tourists during their stay in Murree.
The official website has also been updated to provide real-time weather forecasts, traffic statuses at various intersections, hotel accommodation details, and other essential updates for tourists visiting Murree.
As per the details, the Punjab government, in collaboration with the Private Hotels Association, has arranged free-of-cost parking areas for visitors. Ongoing efforts are also in place to identify additional parking spaces in Murree and its surroundings to accommodate the expected increase in vehicles.

The deputy commissioner strongly recommended that tourists promptly contact traffic police for immediate assistance in case of traffic-related issues or emergencies. In addition, he urged visitors to come adequately prepared by wearing warm clothing, ensuring their vehicles are fueled to capacity, and avoiding unnecessary travel. Abbas advised travellers to carry essential food items during their journey to Murree.
