Islamabad: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) are going to provide more than 540,000 new gas connections during the Fiscal Year 2020-21 – a news source reported today (July 10). These include all kinds of connections including domestic, commercial and industrial.

As per the Annual Plan 2020-21, of the total, 405,450 consumers will be provided connections by SNGPL, while 144,731 connections will be provided by SSGC.
SNGPL will provide 400,000 new domestic connections, 5,000 commercial connections and 450 industrial connections; meanwhile, SSGC will provide 143,023 domestic, 1,164 commercial, and 184 industrial connections. Last year, both companies had provided a total of 430,145 connections.

They also laid more 5,000 kilometres of supply and distribution lines to improve the transmission network in the country. SNGPL laid 4,155 kilometres of lines, while SSGC laid 850 kilometres. This year’s target for SNGPL has set at 6,965 kilometres of transmission lines, for SSGC it is 1,418 kilometres of new networks.
