Peshawar: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has successfully addressed consumers’ low gas pressure complaints by installing an efficient pipeline distribution system in the city, a news source reported. Peshawar receives its gas supply from three major transmission sources; which are situated at the city entrance, at the system tail-end (which was installed last winter), and at the midpoint.

SNGPL Peshawar General Manager Arbab Saqib on Tuesday said that the company management was not expecting any further complaints regarding low gas pressures ahead of the winter season.
He added that officials concerned recently completed the up-gradation and augmentation works on the entire network of the main lines in the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project
Moreover, the SNGPL has commenced work on a new eight-inch augmentation pipeline at Warsak Road in Peshawar in its bid to resolve gas pressure issues in the area. Similarly, construction work on a 12-inch additional line from Tarnab to Bala Hisar Fort in the city has been completed, but hasn’t been commissioned, owing to the non-issuance of a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the National Highway Authority (NHA).
