Islamabad: The National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday revealed that over one million people were following quarantine guidelines after the imposition of smart lockdown in different parts of the country, a news source reported.

During the meeting of NCOC chaired by Minister for Planning Asad Umar, officials revealed that people were restricted to their homes following the imposition of the ‘trace, test, and quarantine (TTQ)’ strategy in high coronavirus risk areas.
They stated that based on TTQ strategy, the following number of lockdowns were imposed in different areas of the country:
- 904 in Punjab
- 26 in Sindh
- 527 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
- 29 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)
- 10 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)
- 5 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB)

The NCOC meeting also reviewed the plan for increasing testing capacity, Epidemic Curve Chart, and media communication strategy for the next six weeks. It also discussed the arrangement with regard to the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
