Quetta: The Balochistan government on Wednesday provided a notification of another extension in smart lockdown in the province in order to control the coronavirus spread, a news source reported. To this effect, it stated that the lockdown would continue until July 30.

It further said that the smart lockdown in Balochistan would remain enforced for another 15 days. It added that the measure would control the spread of the pandemic, ensure public safety, and maintain peace in the province.
The notification mentioned a complete ban on public gatherings, processions, sit-ins, and rallies. It added that wearing masks would be mandatory for the people. Meanwhile, it stated that hospitals, blood banks, pharmaceutical and medicine supply shops, laboratories, food and food packing units, dairy product shops, and tandoors would have permission to remain open 24 hours a day.

All provinces have been following the smart lockdown policy in order to control the pandemic spread in the country. The provincial governments have been sealing virus hotspots for containing number of new cases.
