Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to raze more shantytowns in the Federal Capital after razing the I-11 slum. In order to resist possible evictions, the slum-dwellers have registered their protest against the CDA and have requested the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of the possible evictions.
According to a news source, the residents of the katchi abadis located in Sectors H-9, G-7, G-8, I-9, I-10 and G-6/2 held a rally from Sector H-9 to the press club and vowed to continue their struggle against forceful evictions.
