According to the details, this project, overseen by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), is part of the Ministry of Housing and Works’ efforts to provide quality residential facilities for government employees.
During the visit, the FGEHA Director General provided a detailed briefing on the project’s progress. Discussions with contractors also took place, focusing on the current status of development work. Sky Gardens (Green Enclave-II), a housing scheme covering 11,000 kanals, is situated near the Murree Expressway on the outskirts of Islamabad.
Originally launched in 2019 as a joint venture, the project experienced delays due to various factors. However, significant progress is now being made on infrastructural development, including road construction, boundary walls, and water and sewerage systems. The work, valued at PKR 7.944 billion, is currently underway in blocks H, J, and K as part of phase-1 (B).
The minister was also briefed on the land-sharing formula for developed plots, with residential plots allocated on a 70:30 ratio and commercial plots on a 45:55 ratio. Some infrastructural activities are expected to be completed by December 2024, with the entire project scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. During the visit, Minister Pirzada also inaugurated the Commoners Bridge and participated in a tree-planting ceremony.
