Rawalpindi: Out of the 26 companies that applied for pre-qualification status for the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project concept (PC) II, six have been shortlisted, reported a news source. The companies selected will now contest for the PKR 85 million consultancy contract.

These firms include:
- Engineering General Consultant
- Usmani & Company
- Zurich International
- NESPAK
- MPP Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.
- Associated Consultancy Centre
The Planning and Development Department has asked these companies to submit their requests for proposal (RFP). The firm that will win the financial and technical bid for RRR will be awarded a PKR 85 million contract. This company will then be required to prepare a detailed report on project design, its geometric and structural layout, and a re-assessment plan. The said blueprint will reportedly have to be submitted within six months.

The departments concerned have already allocated PKR 5 million for the formation of RRR’s Project Management Unit (PMU). In addition, a sum of PKR 6 billion has also been reserved for the land acquisition process.
