Islamabad: For setting up Special Economic Zones (SEZs) along the routes of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), 46 potential sites have been identified, reported a new source. The SEZs will be established on 41,715 acres of land across Pakistan.
The details on setting up these zones and various other CPEC projects will be discussed during the meeting of Joint Working Group of China and Pakistan, which is scheduled to take place on October 16, 2018 in Beijing.
Out of these 46 zones, 17 will be set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seven in Sindh, nine in Balochistan, four in Punjab, two in Gilgit-Baltistan, four in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, one in Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and two in Islamabad.
