Gujranwala: The Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) has launched an operation against illegal housing schemes, land subdivisions, and the demolished site offices of the said schemes, a news source reported.
GDA is conducting operation around the division. Deputy Commissioner and GDA Director General Naila Baqir oversaw the operation conducted by Director Town Planning Nauman Raza, Director Admin & Finance Aijaz Akbar Bhatti and enforcement teams.
The current phase operation was conducted on Hafiz Road where the site offices were demolished.
Speaking on the matter, GDA Chairman Amir-ur-Rehman said that the operation against illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions has been taking place for past several months.
Director Enforcement Mirza Shah Zaman, Estate Officer Mirza Babar, and Building Inspector Shakeel Ahmad headed the operation with the assistance of heavy police contingent.
