Islamabad: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani on Friday (February 19) inaugurated a corporate office of Gwadar Port to promote the commercial activities of the coastal city, news sources reported. The office will be managed by a real estate firm working in Gwadar.

Reportedly, On the occasion, the chairman of the Senate stated that Gwadar is positioned to be the country’s economic core and, if completed, would be the largest port in the world. He stated that the project is critical to the growth of the country and the advancement of the people of Balochistan. He also remarked that as a result of the government’s initiatives, a lot of companies are working to develop Gwadar, and more are eager in doing so. The government has decided to offer incentives to those businesses. Sirjani also thanked the real estate business for their assistance in the project’s development.

On the occasion, he also said that Gwadar has made significant development under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and that this will continue in the future.
