Karachi: The Sindh Government plans to construct 10,000 houses during the first phase of the Apna Ghar housing scheme, a news source reported. Another 10,000 houses will be built in the second phase.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Nawab Wassan, briefed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto regarding the project. He said that the houses constructed in the first phase would be allotted through balloting.

As many as 2,000 plots will be provided to low-income groups in Khairpur under the Benazir Housing Project – which will also be launched in Larkana, Nawabshah and Hyderabad.
Wassan said that plans are being chalked out regarding the Benazir flat project and free plot scheme for the people of Karachi. On his part, Bilawal directed the authorities concerned to expedite construction work on the said development schemes.
