Karachi: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Local Government department Manzoor Ali Sheikh revealed that the Sindh Government is actively engaged in implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping as part of its property tax collection and road repair initiatives, according to news published in the leading newspaper on October 25.

The ACS conveyed this update during a meeting with a delegation from the World Bank (WB), convened to assess the progress of various projects supported by the international financial institution.

During the meeting, the ACS extended his appreciation to the World Bank for its invaluable assistance in the development projects undertaken within the province. He highlighted the pivotal role the WB plays in the execution of ongoing development projects in Karachi and stressed that the highest priority is accorded to upholding transparency and merit in all existing and forthcoming initiatives.
