Larkana: The Sindh’s ruling party chairman on Wednesday (January 26) launched the Sindh Solid Waste Management (SSWM) project for the city of Larkana, news sources reported. Gansu, a Chinese corporation, is executing the city’s first solid waste management programme.

According to reports, the company hired will be in charge of collecting 400 tonnes of solid waste from the city’s 20 union councils. According to the chairman, the Sindh government is committed to the creation of people-friendly policies and initiatives that would benefit the average man. The initiative will be spread to other provincial cities. He also stated that the government had returned ownership of Katachi Abadis land to the people who have lived on it for the past 40 years. The land regularisation initiative will assist thousands of people by providing them with residential land.

Furthermore, praising Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab for his positive contributions to the city’s growth, he said that Wahab has worked tirelessly to improve the provincial capital via engagement with all stakeholders.
