Karachi: The provincial ministry of industries has demanded that all the people who have been allotted plots in the Small Industrial Estates and Industrial Parks, should set up units in these areas in the allotted time period or face cancellations, according to the news sources.
The industrial and business officials who hold the plots have been given a 15-day notice to present the ministry with their plans for construction on these plots, failing which they will lose their allotment.
Minister of Industries, Commerce and Cooperatives Jam Ikramullah Dharjo has given the directives for the issuance of these final notices.

There hasn’t been any confirmation about the duration of this prescribed period, but the officials revealed that allotment beneficiaries have been directed to pay their outstanding sums owed to the ministry, or face cancellations and consider their deposited amount forfeit.

The officials also said that this step has been taken in an effort to expedite the industrial culture in the province. Minister Dharjo has also directed the concerned officials to facilitate any interested investors through one-window operations. He also asked for the removal of any encroachments and disposed-off garbage that maybe littering the vast area procured for the development of industrial parks.
