Preliminary investigations revealed that huge chunks of land had been allotted illegally in areas such as Sukkur, Khairpur, Benazirabad, and Tanduwala Yar. The land was allotted under State Land Grant Policy and HARP Lease Policy.
Sources close to the development said that several officials of the revenue department had facilitated the allotments. The deputy commissioners will also submit a questionnaire regarding the alleged involvement of revenue officials.
