Karachi: Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Investment Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar on Tuesday (October 5) said that the provincial government is ready to establish new Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in the province, news sources reported.

In this regard, the provincial government will provide technical assistance and incentives to the industrialists. Special Assistant Qamar stated this during a meeting with a delegation of industrialists led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra. He stated that Karachi is Pakistan’s industrial centre and it contributes to the country’s economy. Furthermore, Mr Qamar also stated that Sindh will share its knowledge and technological skills with other provinces for the country’s economic development.

On the occasion, the industrialists were also briefed on the growth of the industrial sector and the SEZs being built by Sindh. The delegation consisted of prominent industrialists and businessmen from KP province including Special Assistant to KP CM on Finance, Industries, Commerce and Investment Abdul Kareem Tordher, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Abrar Shaikh and other officers.
