Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to collect data from various federal agencies to initiate relief work in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic’s economic impact in the province, a news source reported.

In this regard, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the provincial Minister Imtiaz Sheikh, along with his relief team, to collect the required data from the federal agencies – including the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
The relief team informed Murad that they have requested the federal agencies to provide the required data and are currently waiting to receive it so they could initiate the relief work aimed at tackling the COVID-19 economic impact in Sindh.

The CM advised them to coordinate with all the relevant agencies for acquiring the data needed for the relief work. He also advised the public to observe social distancing voluntarily in order to achieve the purpose of the lockdown due to the spread of the coronavirus infection.
