Karachi: The deadline for the payment of Sindh Sales Tax is all set to expire tomorrow (Friday), a news source reported. Last week, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) had issued a notification for extending the deadline until May 29.

The notification issued by the SRB provided the Sindh Sales Tax payment extension to registered persons. These individuals included withholding agents covered under the provisions of the Sindh Sales Tax Special Procedure (Withholding) Rules 2014.
According to the details of the SRB notification, the registered persons are due to submit their amount of Sindh Sales Tax for the period of April on or before May 29. In this regard, the individuals concerned will make their payments via e-deposits.

On the other hand, the SRB has also provided an extension in the deadline for filing tax returns for the same period. As per details revealed, the board has extended the deadline to June 1 for e-filing the tax returns for April.
