Karachi: The All Pakistan Restaurant Association (APRA) and the Sindh provincial government have agreed on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for continuing with the going coronavirus lockdown during the month of Ramzan, a news source reported.

As per the publication, due to the coronavirus breakout, the restaurants will be permitted to deliver food between 8 Am to 5 PM without getting no-objection certificates (NOCs) from the government authorities. Labour Minister Saeed Ghani assured the APRA delegation of this during a meeting in which they discussed the safety protocols for restaurants before and during Ramzan.

Minister Ghani praised the cooperation of APRA during the pandemic, and said that the government’s priority was to protect human lives as the economy could be rejuvenated later on. The APRA requested that the government allow takeaway, as well as delivery from the restaurants from 11 AM to 12 PM during the lockdown, and between 4 PM to 5 PM in Ramzan. Ghani responded by saying that the government would consider the request in view of the aforementioned SOPs.
