Karachi: The Sindh Government has announced an industrialisation plan aimed at boosting economic growth by establishing new industrial zones, particularly in Karachi, as reported by a news source on May 16.

According to the details, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, declared that industrial zones are being actively explored in various areas, including Port Qasim. The objective is to enhance industrial activities and create employment opportunities in both the province and the commercial capital. In addition, the provincial government plans to allocate funds in the Annual Development Plan (ADP) to develop necessary infrastructure across seven industrial zones in Karachi, aimed at facilitating existing industrialists in the province. Minister Dharejo mentioned that the provincial government, under his ministry, is working to introduce one-window operations for industrialists to swiftly resolve their issues.
