Karachi: Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah – under the newly enforced ‘Ehtram Ramzan Ordinance’ – has announced the provincial government’s decision to open local business for four days a week from 9 am to 3 pm, according to news sources.

Furthermore, the Sindh government will also introduce new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for businesses that are slated to become effective immediately; sealing all shops and markets reported for violations.
The decision was announced following a cabinet meeting presided by the CM, who revealed that the cabinet had decided to keep the shops (including grocery and other outlets) operational from Monday to Thursday between 8 am and 5 pm.

Additionally, cooked food items can be ordered and delivered between 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. during Ramzan, while the home delivery of food items will not be allowed in Sehar times. The government has decided for the lockdown to continue after 5 P.M. to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the province.
