Karachi: Sindh Minister for Industries, Commerce & Cooperation Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has provided hints of the provincial government’s intention of fixing the issues faced by the allottees of co-operative housing societies located within the province, a news source reported. He shared this information during a recent meeting with the representatives of various local housing developments.

The minister revealed that they were developing a comprehensive mechanism for resolving the problems of the victims in a timely manner. He also instructed the Secretary Co-operative Societies and Registrar Co-operative Housing Societies to regularly visit the housing schemes across the province. He added that the officials should resolve the problems of the affectees on the spot.
Dharejo stressed that they would not tolerate corruption in these housing societies. He added that those manipulating the matters pertaining to the housing schemes would face action according to law.

While assuring that they will protect the wealth of the public at all costs, the minister added that fraudsters in co-operative housing schemes would not go forgiven.
