Hyderabad: Sindh Secretary Culture and Tourism Abdul Rahim Soomro on Thursday (October 21) announced that tour services to historical and heritage sites in Hyderabad will start from November 14 and will promote tourism, according to media reports.

The Sindh secretary disclosed that people from all over the country can register themselves for the tour of the heritage sites. Giving out more details about the tour services, the secretary stated that a model of virtual tour of historical sites will be included in the briefing on the tourist places. District administration in collaboration with the culture department will provide a tour of other famous spots in different cities of the country.
Moreover, boarding and lodging arrangements will be made for the tourists and information about the sites will be provided to the visitors. Hyderabad Commissioner Abbas Baloch disclosed that a tourist committee will be established to finalise all the arrangements. He went on to say that Hyderabad is a city full of historical places and tourist spots, which will be properly developed to boost tourism.

So far, the tombs of Mir, Mukhi House, Mitha Ram hostel, Hasrat Mohani library, the tomb of Ghulam Shah Kalhoro, Besant Hall, and other places have been conserved whereas work on other historical buildings is in progress.
District administration and culture department has also offered opportunities to the private sector to preserve this historic city.
