Karachi: The Board of Revenue of Sindh on Wednesday launched various applications to facilitate taxpayers in the province in transparent calculation of taxes of property and agriculture income, a news source reported.
According to details revealed, one of the applications introduced provides complete information to the taxpayers with regard to taxes on their property and agriculture income with various breakups. It also features a database, which provides the taxpayers with information on nature of taxation – if it is federal or provincial.
The application also provides standard tax slabs, charges, and rate of fees as set by the government. This provision prevents the public from being overcharged or cheated.
Sources revealed that the revenue broad also introduced another application for issuance of a sales certificate. The aim of this application is to facilitate the general public in obtaining their required certificates.
The taxpayers in Sindh can access the said application via https://www.sindhzameen.gos.pk/. This platform also comprises additional information pertaining to land record and government laws, rules, maps, etc.
