Karachi: The Sindh government has allotted 139 acres of land to provide housing to the government employees of Grades 1 to 22 in a bid to address the accommodation crisis, according to news published on March 1.

As per the details, the Sindh Cabinet approved the allotment of land to the Sindh Civil Servants Housing Foundation in Deh Joreji in the Malir District. It was mentioned that with this step, the government is focusing on resolving the problems of the employees due to lack of accommodation.

The news source mentioned that the land was allocated at a 50% discounted rate from that of the market value. The government employees appreciated this step of the provincial government and opined that this will increase the morale of the employees. The government officials lauded the efforts of the Sindh government for resolving the accommodation crisis.
