Karachi: The Sindh High Court has issued an order for the demarcation of 404 plots in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, states a news report. The decision was taken in response of a case filed by plot owners waiting to get possession of their land.
According to details, these plots were auctioned back in 1976 but the respective owners have been waiting to get possession ever since.
Reportedly, the court had earlier ordered to retrieve these plots from the land mafia. After retrieving the land, the department concerned started dumping waste in the area and didn’t demark the plots, due to which plot owners couldn’t start construction of houses.
The court has now ordered the Karachi Development Authority to complete demarcation of plots and submit a report in one day.
