Karachi – Suspending the interim order of restraining Bahria Town from developing two underpasses and a flyover near A.T. Naqvi Chowk, the Sindh High Court has allowed Bahra Town to resume the construction work.
The Advocate of Bahria Town, Fiaz Hussain, said in court that the project for the construction of flyovers and an underpass near A.T. Naqvi Chowk was a long pending issue and the idea of this project was originally presented by Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC). He said that Bahria Town offered Karachi Metropolitan Corporation to finance the project and it was approved by the KMC after considering all formal requirements.
After providing relevant facts to the court, Fiaz Hussain requested the court to set aside restraining orders and allow Bahria Town to continue construction work.
The Sindh High Court accepted Bahria Town’s plea and issued notices to the petitioner and other respondents of the case.
