Karachi: Sindh Industries Secretary Dr Nasim-ul-Ghani Sahito has announced provincial government’s decision to construct and carpet 19 roads of the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) – a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting of the SITE Association of Industry. He proposed the conversion of SITE Limited into a corporate entity. A corporation will serve better for the industries, he felt. He requested SITE members to provide their input on the matter as well.
SITE Managing Director Syed Mehdi Ali Shah said that SITE had asked the Sindh government to provide PKR 1 billion for the provision of infrastructural facilities in the industrial area.

Further, he urged Secretary Sahito to include maintenance and repair funds in SITE’s budget. He stated that during construction of new roads, rain and sewerage drains will also be constructed on both sides and centre of the roads to avert water accumulation.
