Karachi: Sindh Minister for Power Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh has instructed the departments concerned to give workable suggestions for providing houses to government employees, reported a news source.

He was presiding over the meeting of a committee formed to help solve this issue. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Shah gave orders for formation of this committee.
Sindh Minister for Information Technology Taimoor Talpur, Department of General Administration Secretary Zulfiqar Shah, and officials from Sindh Finance Department attended this meeting.

Addressing the meeting, provincial minister Sheikh said that Sindh Government has 500,000 employees. The government also has funds to arrange for housing facilities for its employees. Furthermore, financial institutes including builders, banks and Department of Administration General is also willing to provide loans on easy terms and conditions.
The government currently needs practical suggestions to begin with providing the housing facilities. Sheikh instructed that all stakeholders be taken on board for the purpose. He gave directives to invite stakeholders in the next committee meeting. The step will help finalise the suggestions and send them to Cabinet for further approval.
