Karachi: The Sindh government on Thursday announced its decision to set up special courts in the province in a bid to resolve by-laws violation cases submitted by the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), according to news sources.

Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah revealed this information during a press briefing. He further stated that the authority had suspended and initiated legal proceedings against officials found involved in the construction of faulty structures in Karachi.

To this effect, the SBCA recently conducted a mega operation against illegal structures and sealed/demolished 15 illegal buildings in various parts of the city.
In a related development, the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) stated that it would not conduct operations against residential structures registered in the board’s record books.
