Talibuddin requested the commission to continue working until its objectives were fully achieved. He made the demand during a hearing of the commission, conducted by the commission’s outgoing chairman, Justice (retd) Amir Hani Muslim.
Stating the reason behind this request, he said that the commission could offer better monitoring of the city’s water and sanitation projects. Several projects started upon the recommendations of the commission will also yield better results under its supervision.
He also pointed out several projects still in the assessment stage which required the commission’s oversight.
The commission was formed upon the petition of Advocate Shuhab Usto, who supported the AG’s request.
Justice (retd) Muslim responded that only the apex court can approve the said request.
