Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah recently announced the provincial government’s decision to introduce a mobile service for providing necessary rations to the needy and daily wagers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, a news source reported.

To this effect, CM Shah stated that the provincial executive will provide a contact number for the said purpose; adding that people who need the ration will be required to text on that number. The CM also urged philanthropists to contribute to the cause at this difficult hour.
He further stated that daily wagers and the needy should be helped on a priority basis. He warned against duplication; saying that the government wants to facilitate maximum number of people in the wake of the virus attack.

Provincial Ministers Syed Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani, (via video link), Advisor on Law Murtaza Wahab, Special Assistant to the CM Waqar Mehdi, and representatives from social welfare organisations were all present at the occasion.
