Karachi: The Sindh Government announced that the currently under-development scheme by the name of ‘Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Township Scheme’ (SBBTS) will provide 50,000 plots, each spanning an area of 120 sq ft. The plots will be spread across 23 districts of the province, according to a news story published on 7th April.

Sindh Local Government Secretary Syed Najam Ahmad Shah chaired a meeting on Tuesday (April 6) and termed SBBTS as a precious gift to the masses of the province, and that it will be particularly geared towards the poor people. Furthermore, Shah issued directions to the relevant personnel in order to speed up the development in several cities so that the project can be delivered as soon as possible and with the utmost transparency.

The project is estimated to cost PKR 9421 million and according to the details, a comprehensive strategy will be implemented to ensure timely inclusion of the basic necessities such as electricity, gas and water supply as well as a sewerage system. Lastly, the secretary reiterated the need for speedy development and warned that no tardiness would be tolerated.
