Karachi: Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information and Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that Sindh Government is determined to revive and run the Karachi Circular Railway on its own means, despite any hesitation by the federal government – a news source reported.

He also said that the Sindh Government has fully supported and made serious efforts for the revival of the KCR. He added that the provincial government had sent a letter to the railways ministry asking it to provide 102 train carriages required for KCR.

He also expressed the government’s determination to modernise KCR in compliance with the directives of the courts.
He said the Sindh government has been making efforts to revive the KCR since 2015, and the project was included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor thanks to Chief Minister Sindh’s efforts.
