Karachi: The Sindh Bank management have pledged to donate one day’s salary to the provincial government’s Sindh Coronavirus Emergency Fund, according to news sources. As per the publication, the fund is aimed at providing relief to COVID-19 affectees in the province.

This relief provision includes the reduced cost of testing, treatment, hospital care, medicine and other related measures. The Sindh government established the Coronavirus Emergency Fund Account to financially assist the daily wagers. The sources also reported that an 88-year-old anonymous donor has provided a million rupees to support this fight against the coronavirus disease.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah (who is being appreciated countrywide for his proactive approach in battling the ovel coronavirus) tweeted in appreciation of the aforementioned donor. His tweet stated that ‘such acts of kindness strengthen our resolve to continue fighting this challenge and reassures us that humanity stands tall during such extraordinary times.’
Additionally, the government has encouraged people to make generous donations to the Sindh Coronavirus Emergency Fund’s provided account number (03015594456100), or at any branch of the Sindh Bank across Pakistan.
