Speaking on the matter, the CNG Station Owners Association Chairperson Malik Khuda Bakhsh said that sale of both CNG and petrol had declined significantly. He added that the limited working hours didn’t allow the fuel stations to generate the funds required to pay salaries, utility bills, rents, and taxes.
Giving his proposals for the package, he said that one of the measures the government should introduce must be the removal of the Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) . He also proposed that there should be some relief in the payment of rents for the fuel station sites, as well as their electricity bills.
