Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iranian Governor General Razm Hosseini to expand bilateral trade ties, a news source reported. Both sides have decided to work towards enhancing economic collaboration for multi-sectoral development in agriculture, commerce, science, engineering, and research.

The MoU pertains to expansion of trade in the public and private sectors, encouraging cultural delegates and tourist exchange, and joint initiatives for agro-industrial development and engineering research. The CM and Iranian governor agreed to promote investments in city-based projects. They decided upon information exchange and extension of support through providing facilities for this purpose.
The clauses of the MoU stated that people from both nations would be encourage to attend investment events and economic exhibitions held in each country. Both sides also agreed to organise events concerned with arts and culture for cooperation in these fields between Iran and Pakistan.

CM Murad requested the Iranian governor to take measures for facilitating the Pakistani pilgrims visiting Iran to which Governor Hosseini assured his full support. Murad also invited the governor to visit Sindh.
