Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah recently announced the construction of a road, at a cost of PKR 500 million, which would connect Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) and Ibrahim Hyderi – a news source reported. The CM stated that the proposed road would be constructed as part of the Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement project.

He expressed his views on the matter during his visit of the Landhi Medical College where he reviewed construction work on the college building. He said that for the purpose of preparing a feasibility report regarding the road project, he had visited the Korangi Creek, Mehran Highway, along with the adjoining areas. He added that the PCG-Ibrahim Hyderi Road would be connected with these main roads in order to streamline the traffic flow.
The CM stated that everyone must show civic sense in order to make Karachi a more beautiful city. He added that the provincial government previously held several meetings to prepare strategies for the monsoon season. He stated that the officials of the Local Government (LG), the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), and the District Municipal Corporations (DMCs) were recently instructed to interact with the public in order to address their concerns.

CM Shah also said that sweeping and lifting of garbage in Korangi were major issues. He added that he had directed LG Minister Saeed Ghani to take action against ignorant DMCs in this matter, and initiate measures to keep the district clean.
