Karachi: The Sindh Government passed its PKR 110 billion fiscal budget 2018-2019 on 22nd May 2018, according to a news report. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while presenting the budget, said that typically 5 days are given to the Assembly to debate the budget, but he had allowed the debate to continue for 8 days.
The allocations for agricultural development sector budget is PKR 7.5 billion, whereas PKR 10 billion has been reserved for Kadhkot-Ghotki Bridge on Indus River, the feasibility study of which has already been initiated. In addition, PKR 8.09 has been allocated for three National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) centres in Nawabshah, Khairpur, and Mithi.
Apart from this, plans for health units and development schemes were also highlighted.
